Dublin Pride Flag Raising Ceremony
Love is love is love is ... love :)) ❤️💜💚🩷
An empowering evening as City of Dublin, CA and The Town of Danville honored diversity in our communities.
Danville proclaimed June as Pride Month, and PFLAG SRV, San Ramon Valley Unified School System and students and Danville Congregational Church were there to receive the proclamation.
Dublin once again raised the Progress Pride Flag in honor of Pride Month. The Mayor and Councilmembers spoke to the power of inclusion, and need to end prejudices.
It was Rewire's privilege and honor to be present for both events! To continue standing proud as allies, with the promise to learn, listen, ask, speak, act. And always show up!! Thank you, Dublin, for creating this space. Thank you to every person who showed up!

Supporting the AANHPI LGBTQ+ Community
Thank you to all who joined this virtual interactive panel discussion and storytelling gathering, where we heard from leaders, LGBTQ+ folks and members of our community on how we can be empowered advocates & allies.
Our regions are diverse places with a large AANHPI population. How do we support the AANHPI LGBTQ+ community that experiences marginalization and intersectionality? How do we open our doors and be intentional in our conversations and actions so we can create a safe space for everyone? This Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we hoped to have brought together a heartwarming, constructive discussion.

InterFaith EarthFest
How wonderful it was to be part of InterFaith I-SRV's EarthFest once again, and meet so many organizations working for our community and climate. 💚
We had the opportunity to present and table at the event. We chose to share our work through mini-skits, using stories we have seen/observed/heard to highlight the "why" behind the work we do. The three skits we did were on the topics of gender stereotypes, financial domestic violence and healthy boundaries. And we connected them to our programs such as 'Changemaker' youth groups and our events to create dialog around stereotypes and their long term impact; the work DV advocates do on the ground and our own Care-kits and funding programs; and workshops we do on self care, compassion & healthy boundaries. We also opened each skit for discussions.
Our presentation ended with a movement, highlighting how cultural mediums such as dance continue to create a common thread that allows us to connect on topics, that may otherwise not be approached.
Grateful to continue being part of the grassroots movement! 💜

Dougherty Valley High School Destress Fest
Our Changemakers joined DVHS in San Ramon for their annual Destress Fest. Thank you DVHS for inviting us.
It’s always exciting to see our youth leads show up like this! We had students come to our table for a fun quiz on wellness, self-care, and destressing!
It was also exciting to meet other organizations like PFLAG SRV working to support our youth 💜

International Women's Day
Filled with energy, love, humor, and determination, our community came together for Rewire’s International Women’s Day celebration. It was an afternoon of solidarity, reflection and action—leaving us with a sense of unity in our shared pursuit of gender equity.
We cannot thank everyone enough for contributing. Our list of thanks is endless, as is our gratitude.
…the hands that planned, decorated, and volunteered, and the hearts who brewed cups of tea and brought snacks to keep us going
…every artist, performer, and speaker who brought stories to life and kept the momentum going
…the grassroots organizations represented by advocates, sharing resources and reminding us of their support at the frontlines
…the community members who chose to be with us, showing up for gender justice
We honored the words of Maya Angelou as a tribute to the voices that have come before us, those we get to witness today, and the many yet to come. Their stories shape our journey, and it’s our privilege to write our own.

Our Changemakers were eager to share their work and learn from other youth making an impact at the grassroots level!

Rewire joined community members, friends, allies, advocates, and the youth to honor and celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The gathering was filled with love and reflection as we recommitted to the teachings of Dr. King and the journey toward justice and equity.
We were grateful to stand alongside likeminded organizations, including the San Ramon Valley Diversity Coalition, Narika, the Contra Costa Family Justice Alliance, the Discovery Counseling Center, the APAPA Tri-Valley Chapter, and the Diablo Black Men’s Group. A special congratulations to San Ramon Valley PFLAG for their recognition for advocacy!
